All About Hana

Carnival

Dear friends,

After a busy week today I'm sending some pictures of Hana, taken at the carnival celebration of the 'Kindergarten'. Hana has had a lot of fun with her ladybug-costume, I could undress her not until it was time to go to sleep.

Next we celebrated Karl-Heinz 70th birthday with some friends. Yesterday it was the birthday of our neighbour, she has got 79 years. I think the next week will be calm and quiet.

Hana is doing very well, she's learning German - all of you have to take some German lessons to understand her, when she is coming back. She's trying to repeat all the words we use - we often are laughing. She also is going to know, which people belong together. So, if we're speaking about "Klaus" she says "Hermi", that's the name of his woman, or "Linda", then she is saying "Petra", it's Lindas mother - it's very interesting! Yesterday we went shopping for the weekend. I bought some joghourt and she said "Micha" - it was the joghourt for him, I think she saw that he put it in his bag last week. So, there are new things every day.

Snow!

Also attached are pics from Hana's carnival costume, looking for the right size. They have a carnival celebration in the Kindergarten on Febr. 19th.

Playdate

We visited Linda and her familiy, Linda is in the same age like Hana. They had a lot of fun together in this afternoon.

Also there is a pic I took in our park. We had a little bit bread to feed the ducks - and they came near to Hana to pick the bread up. That's on the way to the playground where Hana likes to play.

Fun with Oma

Today Karl-Heinz went with us to take some pics of our swimming lesson. Hana always has a lot of fun playing in the water.

Kindergarten

The beginning of the new year was filled with new things for Hana. Today we were for the first time in the "Kindergarten". Hana has a lot of fun with driving, riding bicycles (small and big ones), climbing and reading books.

Here are the pictures of Hana's birthday. She (and we) had a lot of fun with her new toys and presents. Michael and our neighbours came for visiting Hana. We had a delicious birthday cake. It was an exciting day and Hana was very tired at night.

Christmas in Vancouver

Some photos from Hana's early Christmas/birthday celebration in Vancouver. Ruth made roast beef, and we had a feast. Then the girls opened up gifts.
